The UVU Men’s Rugby Program was started in 1996 when students first formed a club at the university. It has continued to grow since those humble beginnings and has begun to really come of age in the last few years. As the team begun to string together consecutive playoff appearances on the national level, the team of 2008 managed to take the level of play to another level and made it to the Division II National Championship game. Although that team lost that game, the second place finish has proved as a huge motivational tool for the players that were a part of that team and who have stayed involved in the program.

The current team now has a very achievable goal of returning to that National Championship game this season, but would very much like to be on the winning end of the result this time around. The program’s continued success has been largely thanks to the large support base that the club is building throughout Utah Valley. We would like to take the time to thank all the coaches. managers, faculty advisor’s and alumni who have helped make so much of what UVU Men’s Rugby has achieved so far possible and look forward to continuing to represent our school and community at such a high level.

Students interested in playing can head over to the contact page here, and send us through their information and we can let you know when and where the team is practicing and what you will need to play. We are trying to get our alumni networked as much as possible these days and would love to hear from you if you played for UVU at some point throughout the years. Contact us here and we can add your name to our alumni newsletter so you can stay up to date with what the team is doing and any alumni games that might be coming up. And of course all club programs need money to help achieve the required goals, so if you would like to donate to the team or if you have some sponsorship or fundraising ideas that you think the team might be interested in, you can let us know those right here.
